1982 Mercedes 380 SL Modified
Solid 380 had an engine failure several years ago and sat in indoor storage. A highly skilled rod builder purchased the car and transferred the engine and transmission from a Pontiac G8 GT with 43,000 miles. The G8 was produced by Holden for GM with the following specs: The GT comes with a 361 hp (269 kW)[16] 6.0 L (364 cu in) Generation IV V8, [14] featuring a 6-speed 6L80automatic and Active Fuel Management, capable of reaching 60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.2 seconds. This also required replacing the front suspension with a Mustang 2 assembly. All work done was built to a high level of craftmanship and is all bolt-in. New paint, new top, new carpets and ice-cold vintage air conditioning. Stainless steel European bumpers. Factory hardtop with rolling storage stand included with sale.
